* Promote the advertising campaign

We were promoting the advertising campaign for the festival on the mass media. Vietnam Television Station has scheduled to run a series of advertisements to introduce Tay Son-Binh Dinh festival on its four channels. We also had the event advertised on many publications, such as Culture newspaper, Tourism, Men’s magazine, and so on, said Dinh Khac Dien, Vice Director of Binh Dinh Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.

We would put some advertisements on other newspapers of Tuoi Tre, Thanh Nien, Lao Dong, and Law. Binh Dinh newspaper and Binh Dinh Broadcasting Station also have opened one more program and column to advertise the festival, he added.

Binh Dinh Tourism Map and Binh Dinh Tourism Guidebook have been published with three languages including Vietnamese, English, and Chinese. About 30,000 leaflets will be delivered to hotels, restaurants, and travel agencies in mid-July to meet the tourists’ demands.

Many products as souvenirs of Binh Dinh have been made, such as logo, model, statue of King Quang Trung, and Tay Son conical hat. Also, many DVDs about Bai choi songs and Tuong extracts will be sold on the occasion of the festival. For those who visit Binh Dinh for the first time will have a chance to buy a DVD introducing Binh Dinh’s land and people.

Many tours about vestiges and landscapes in Binh Dinh have been planned. Besides three main tours for those who will be invited, tour operators will be allowed to arrange their own tours.

* Prepare for welcoming tourists

Tour guides and volunteers have been carefully trained to receive and guide tourists estimated to reach thousands on the occasion of Tay Son-Binh Dinh festival. Provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism opened three training courses for 250 volunteers, 100 drivers, and nearly 100 owners of hotels and restaurants in Quy Nhon city and Tay Son District.

They were provided the knowledge of communication, history, and culture. The law on traffic, the information on typical tourism sites in Binh Dinh, and the issues of food safety, fire prevention, and public order were provided.

According to statistics released by provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the number of rooms in hotels in Quy Nhon city and Tay Son District will be able to meet the demand of invited guests.
