The tomb of Han Mac Tu on Thi Nhan Hill.

Thi Nhan (poet) Hill locating at Ghenh Rang tourism site has a pleasant ambience and picturesque view. Tourists who come here always pass Thi Nhan Hill and Mong Cam ascent to visit the tomb of Han Mac Tu.

When he was still alive, Han Mac Tu liked the city’s Deo Son very much and wished to be buried here when he died. However, because Deo Son is a military zone, his dream couldn’t come true. His relatives, therefore, had to move his tomb to Ghenh Rang.

In December, 1959 his ashes were disinterred from Quy Hoa leprosy village to Ghenh Rang and his tomb has become an attractive destination for tourists who visit the central province of Binh Dinh since then.

The ascent leading to his tomb was called Mong Cam and Ghenh Rang Hill has got another name “Thi Nhan” then.

In 2008, a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built above the tomb which was newly built at the same time. Standing beside the tomb, tourists could see Phuong Mai peninsula and Thi Nai lagoon.

On an area of one hectare around the tomb of Han Mac Tu see many trees and various decorations. There is also a “garden of poem” where his famous verses were engraved on panels.

Despite its location in the central of the city, Ghenh Rang has a peaceful ambience. Coming here at sunrise or sunset, tourists will feel a relaxing atmosphere. At full moon nights many poem lovers often come here to enjoy the view of full moon and recite Han Mac Tu’s poems

In the silence of the full moon nights many visitors could draw poetic inspiration from the sight.

Down from the Hill locates a pebbly beach. The whole beach includes scores of smooth pebbles with different shapes, making it become the most distinctive beach in Vietnam.

Legend has it that Nam Phuong Queen often came here to enjoy the view; thus it is also called Queen beach.
