Experiencing Quy Nhon

Peacefulness is what anyone could firstly experience when coming to Quy Nhon. The peaceful atmosphere is shown through daily activities.

The shouts of street vendors with the local dialect in early mornings and the images of white collars with laptops in their hands or workers working under the flash light of metal cutters all show the peacefulness as if it had deeply penetrated into the city for hundreds of years.

In spite of the fact that the whole society has gradually developed, Quy Nhon still has its own peacefulness.

No one-sidedness could be found when someone says Quy Nhon is beautiful. This is a truth, particularly under the eyes of a tourist, a person who works in the tourism field, and a person who returns his hometown.

My friends who are living in different parts of the country also shared the same opinion when once visiting Quy Nhon. Here, you are able walk along the big and quiet roads which are totally different from sun-drenched, crowded, damaged ones in Ho Chi Minh City.

Walking about 40 meters you can see dustbins lying politely at the corner of the streets. Moreover, the city is surrounded by mountains and sea which make the city has a wild but familiar beauty.

Quy Nhon has fresh air. Most of the streets are covered with green trees such as flamboyant, lagerstroemia, and samanea saman. The parks are covered with green grass. Each roundabout is decorated with colorful basin flowers. Rows of willows, palm trees along the seaside sway under the winds.

Besides, Quy Nhon is a thinly populated city.  It, thus, sometimes, made us feel as if we were lost in the pure and well-aired nature when walking along the quiet roads.

Surely, anyone could agree that the city-dwellers have much spare time. The elderly people take exercises every morning while young people often gather at café, even at noon. Quy Nhon is one of cities which see many cafés but they are always crowded.

In late afternoons, groups of women take a walk along the seaside, the children play on pavements, and young people play volleyball or football on the beach or go swimming. In the evening, some couples ride their bicycles around some bustling streets. Everybody also goes to the sea to experience fresh air or catch small crabs on the beach. It is happy to be a Quy Nhon’s citizen.
