Mui Vi Rong
|
Phu My district is the home of historical sites, year-round festival, and beautiful landscapes. Among them, Mui Vi Rong located at Long Phung hamlet, My Tho commune is one of the most attractive destinations.
Coming here, tourists could see a rocky reef jutting out into the sea. In the middle of the reef is a big rock into which the waves break day and night.
Visiting Mui Vi Rong, the tourist will also have a chance to enjoy My Tho wine and second-to-none specialties and listen to the story about the legend of Mui Vi Rong. The rocky complex looks like a gigantic dragon rising up towards the sea at sunset.
After swimming in the sea, the tourist could climb up the Vung Moi lighthouse (also called Hon Nuoc lighthouse) which is 16.2 meter high. The stone lighthouse was built under French domination in the Vung Moi lagoon.
Due to its special terrain, Mui Vi Rong is one of favourite venues for outdoor tours and teamwork games, helping visitors forget the hot days in the summer and the bustle atmosphere in the urban areas. They are free to enjoy themselves and explore the natural beauty.
Returning from the Mui Vi Rong, the visitors should bring with them a bottle of My Tho wine which is believed to be attached to the landscape and the locals.
