Sand dune sliding in Quy Nhon
13:34', 3/6/ 2010 (GMT+7)

People often think of Mui Ne located in Phan Thien, Binh Thuan Province when being asked about a place for sliding down a sand dune. Not many know that Quy Nhon also has a sand dune and a sand dune sliding game which is as interesting as Mui Ne.

Let’s slide down the sand dune

The Mien Trung tour operator has served the sand dune sliding game to its tourists for several years.

Located about 20 km far from Quy Nhon, the sand dune is adjacent to the Phuong Mai peninsula’s Nhon Ly beach. Touring the Phuong Mai sand dune, tourists could have chances to experience the roughly 100-meter-high sand dune and a panoramic view of the vast sand dune as well as its wild beauty with veinsands changing their shape daily, even hourly due to strong wind blowing from Nhon Ly beach.

Coming here, tourists could play the sand dune sliding game. Sliding down the sand dune with special skateboards that is developed by the Mien Trung tour operator, tourists will have a new relaxed feeling. The game could be played as a kind of sport, which is suitable for all, at weekends.

The difference between the sand dunes in Phuong Mai- Quy Nhon and Hon Rom- Mui Ne is the wild beauty and diversified veinsands in Phuong Mai. Also, sliding down the sand dune in Phuong Mai is more comfortable.

In Mui Ne, tourists slide down the sand dune with thin, plastic pieces which has the maximum speed of 6km/h - 12km/h. But in Phuong Mai, they are able to use the special skateboards to slide down the sand dune at different height, offering different speeds.

If tourists want to have strong feelings, they can slide down from high-sloping sides. With this entertaining difference, the Phuong Mai sand dune is surely an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists when touring Binh Dinh.
