The Quy Nhon beach

It takes only 55 minutes to fly from Ho Chi Minh City to Quy Nhon, the city which owns a beautiful coast as well as a long history with simple and unique cultural features.

Going out of the airport, it takes some minutes for tourists to cross through yellow-ripened rice fields, high mountains and some mountainsides. They will then set foot on Ghenh Rang, the most beautiful beach in Binh Dinh.

Standing on Ghenh Rang cliffs, you could see a panorama of the eastern part of Quy Nhon city. Somebody said that enjoying sunset from here is a Quy Nhon’s “specialty”, but the tourists are advised to once try to discover Ghenh Rang after the sunset.

The beach undulates in and out but looking far ahead they can see the lamplights of fishing boats ablaze, the long white-sand beach, beautiful white roofs, the top of the church tower, row of white crosses - a wild, peaceful but extremely beautiful landscape.

Coming to Quy Nhon, the tourists could hire a power-boat or a coracle to visit its islands or enjoy the coral reefs. They could also visit Ham Ho, Hoi Van hot mineral spring, and the Quang Trung Museum to enjoy the performance of 12 wardrums.

Quy Nhon’s cuisine includes different types of sauces. Almost each dish has its own sauce. The Cho Huyen fermented pork roll could be, for example, enjoyed with the garlic after being fried.

Quy Nhon’s seafood is tasty but cheap. The firm and delicious crab will keep its sweet taste if being steamed. Being small but the oyster’s flesh is white and not blackened when its shell is opened.

The Tran Doc and Phan Dinh Phung streets are two popular addresses serving fresh and tasty seafood. If you don’t want to drink coffee or sing karaoke, you could take a walk to see a panorama of sparking Quy Nhon city by night.

If you want to eat more at night you could enjoy a bowl of rice spaghetti with fried fish at the crossroads of Le Loi-Tang Bat Ho streets.

Ending the whole excellent day, you should come back the hotel by walking. You will have a feeling like peaceful atmosphere in Sai Gon in the 1980s when walking through the quiet streets on which most houses had fences and flower bushes in front of their doors. Somewhere still faintly redolent of Ngoc Lan flowers.
