Binh Dinh Province, having great potential for tourism, boosted its tourism program for the first time in the capital of Ha Noi on March 28.

Binh Dinh is known as the cradle of Tuong art

The province has many attractive destinations as well as advantages for tourism development and its authorities have now started to give special concern to one of the key economic sector which has almost sunk into oblivion.

The province possesses beautiful beaches, ancient towers, let alone the cradle of Tuong (Vietnamese classical drama) and traditional martial arts. What’s more, Binh Dinh is the birthplace of many talents, such as national hero Quang Trung, Dao Tan, and poets Xuan Dieu, Han Mac Tu.

The variety and unique features are obviously important advantages contributing to the tourism development, compared with other neighboring provinces.

“Binh Dinh has focused on building facilities, strengthening promotion activities, and calling for investment in tourism services,” said Nguyen Thanh Son, vice director of Binh Dinh Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.

However, Son also admitted that the achievements have still fallen short of expectations. He expressed the hope that tourism would become an important sector in Binh Dinh.

Better late than never

According to Ha Noi’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, it seemed quite late to promote Binh Dinh tourism in Ha Noi; however, it is said “better late than never” and the tourism promotion program will surely bring many results to the province.

The program, however, haven’t met many people’s demands; thus most city dwellers as well as people in other provinces don’t know much about Binh Dinh.
